Curry burger patties – paleo & vegan

Eating paleo and vegan is a hard challenge that requires you to be very creative, especially when it comes to protein. After my „meat“balls, I created this curry burger patties which will not only meet your needs but are also tasty as heck.

You don’t have to be an amazing chef to create these curry patties and it doesn’t take long. If you want to be really quick just use canned mushrooms and you will have prepped my vegan and paleo patties within 5 minutes – ready to go into the oven.

Of course, you can sub the curry for any spice you like but in my opinion curry gives a nice fruity flavor that goes perfectly along with my homemade apple cinnamon ketchup. For this you only need to mix some tomato paste, unsweetened applesauce, salt, pepper and cinnamon. It’s the best dip for carrot fries and the curry patties!

  • 40 g almond flour/Mandelmehl
  • 170 g canned or cooked mushrooms/Dosen- oder gekochte Champignons
  • 3 g flax meal/Leinmehl
  • 5 g nutritional yeast/Hefeflocken
  • curry/Curry
  • salt, pepper, chili/Salz, Pfeffer, Chili
  • herbs/Kräuter


  1. Preheat the oven at 200' C top- and bottom-heat./Den Ofen auf 200 Grad Ober-/Unterhitze vorheizen.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a food processor to get a fine ground beef consistency. You don't want it to be a cream, there should still be some chunks left. If necessary add a splash of water to blend./Die Zutaten in einer Küchenmaschine zu feinem Hack verarbeiten. Es sollte keine Creme sein, sondern schon noch ein paar Stückchen enthalten. Wenn nötig, einen Schuss Wasser dazugeben um die Zutaten pürieren zu können.

  3. Form patties and place on a baking tin./Laibchen formen und auf ein Backblech geben.

  4. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden./Für etwa 40 Minuten backen bis sie schön goldig sind.

  1. Tried these patties this weekend for the first time and I LOVE THEM! I used parsley as a herb and it matches with the curry flavor perfectly. And the patties get really crispy in the oven!
